The Raven Who Stole the Sun

In the Pacific Northwest, Raven found the sun, moon, and stars hidden in a cedar box by a greedy chief. He transformed into a pine needle, was swallowed by the chief's daughter, and was reborn as her son. Then he cried until the chief opened the box — and Raven stole the light for all people. The trickster is not a villain. He is the force that redistributes what hoarding has hidden.

ðŸŽŊ What This Teaches

The trickster doesn't steal for greed. He steals because the world is out of balance, and only a fool would return the sun to the same hands that hid it.
